ABOUT JACK

As a college graduate and avid sports car lover, I fell into the perfect job after a few years at a Porsche store in Lafayette, LA. Porsche quickly became my passion. It was there that I created the Ozark Tour. It was originally intended to promote the sale of Porsches, but fine tuning my tours also became a passion. The Ozark Tour’s success encouraged me to create the West Texas trip, and they morphed into their own incredible experiences. More importantly they created great fun and lifelong friendships. In fact, these trips quickly became the highlights of everyone’s year.

The formula was simple, throw out what doesn’t work and add new twists that create a great adventure. Safety quickly became the primary focus. It was easy to see my mistakes and the practices that demanded new rules.

40 plus years of fine tuning has defined how far we can push without jeopardizing ourselves or others. An entire chapter in my 150-page book of instructions is devoted to safety. These themes are repeated throughout my books. Prudence is knowing where courage ends, and stupidity begins. That is why all my participants always strive to be prudent.

My driving skills and knowledge evolved from being an instructor for the Porsche Driving Experience, driving instructor for the Lone Star Region of Porsche Club of America, an instructor for the Driver’s Edge (Dallas), and top graduate of Porsche’s Sport Driving School at Sebring, FL.

My Automotive career includes 38 years with Porsche as a General Manager, Sales Manager, Customer Relations Manager, Salesman, and as Porsche Cars North America’s Sales Trainer for the nation. I placed 4 stores in the Top 10, 3 of which were Premier Dealers (Porsche’s highest honor). I even defeated the Germans in Germany at their product knowledge tests. This led to my presentation of the 2003 Boxster at the 2002 Dealer meeting in Las Vegas, where I wrote and delivered the presentation.

But my crowning business achievement was taking Champion Porsche of Pompano Beach, FL from #5 in the state to #1 in the country in 11 months. I was the general manager and worked with the full support of David Maraj, an extremely focused and involved owner. Dave went on to repeated successes and won Le Mans as a private (non-factory) team.

I have softened my unilateral focus and now welcome all highline sports cars for these exciting road trips. I am thrilled to report that I have expanded these tours to include Lake Tahoe, and Tombstone, AZ.

I provide you with not only an incredible driving experience, but also fabulous cuisine, and endearing lifelong friendships. It is my sincere hope that you’ll fall in love with sports car driving tours as much as I have.
